Tassimo Capsule system

The unique feature of the Tassimo system is the coffee container called the T-Disc. What makes them unique is the use of a barcode on the capsule that can be read by the coffee maker. This enables the machine to automatically adjust the use of water, brew time, and temperature to fi the individual product best. This makes the brewing process very simple, and for most operations it is done by the click of a single button.

The Tassimo coffee makers brew at 3 bar pressure, compared to conventional espresso that uses 15 bar pressure. The quality of the Tassimo drinks are therefore best compared to conventional coffee products.

The Tassimo concept is made by Kraft Foods who marked and distributed the T-Disc, and Kraft Food uses their known brands for the drink products such as Carte Noire Twinings and cocoa from Marabou.

The price span for the Tassimo coffee makers ranges from $90 to $260.
